Apparently they were had quite a lot of applicants who were reluctant to place a picture of themselves on the net as they hadn't yet come out. These icons were therefore to be used instead and they would also show what sort of fetishes the people were into! The project just sort of disappeared into a black hole after the images here had been started - I still don't quite know why...
